This is a rural path connecting the village of Papasidero and the chapel, extra-moenia, of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel. The path runs down the hillside towards the Castiglione Stream, crosses it through an iron bridge, and climbs the opposite hill up to the small chapel surrounded by greenery. The path has been widely used in the past for devotional reasons and used as a processional route on the feast day of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. In the chapel is located the Angelo Galtieri’s fresco, figuring Our Lady of Mount Carmel between Saint Francis of Paola and Saint Simon Stock.
